I'm the oldest of the Pierce girls (the 4 Ks). I'm currently 25 years old and in my final year of medical school at The University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama. I am pursuing a career in pathology, and I'll find out in March where I'll be living for the next 4-5 years for further training.
I'm getting married in April to Matthew McBee, a PhD student in Educational Psychology at The University of Georgia. We're getting married on April 29, 2006 in Manchester, Tennessee. I'm currently working on a website for the wedding, which should have most of the information in a few weeks.
Since it's the New Year and all, I made a few goals for this year:
- I enjoy running, and I ran both a 5K and 10K in 2005. My running goal for 2006 is to shave 3 minutes off of my 5K race time.
- In addition to running, I like to lift weights, and I'd like to finally be able to benchpress 100 lbs this year.
- I decided that I needed a new hobby, so I took up knitting. I'd like to have 3-4 projects done by the end of the year.
